The Skedaddle

             The "Skedaddle" is Jeannette's father's name for when the family drops everything and moves to another city. Throughout the book, this was quite a common occurrence. This website has an animated map of all the different places Jeannette Walls lived during the course of The Glass Castle. At each stop it highlights some of the key events that happened while they were there.While reading the book I didn't realize how far they were moving each time they left, but seeing it laid out on the map puts it in a different perspective.
